Office of Alumni Relations for the School of Health Professions

Greetings, and welcome to our new and improving Alumni Affairs website! The site is currently undergoing some changes so please bear with us as we continue to develop these pages. We look forward to your feedback!

When you reflect back on your time as a student at UTMB SHP, I'm sure many different experiences come to mind. You might think of the campus, the lifelong friends you've made, the beach, or a certain professor that helped you believe in yourself. Whatever your memories might be, there is a certain commonality which we all share as this institution helped shape our lives, and we want to keep that connection alive as we move forward as the School of Allied Health Sciences.

For those of you who have been away for awhile, please stop and see us if you find the chance. Take a tour of the ever-changing campus or visit with some past professors and current students. I am confident you will marvel at the progress of your alma mater, and we'd love to see you!

The Office of Alumni Affairs is committed to keeping you informed while reconnecting and building stronger relationships between the alumni, the school and our community. We encourage you to become more involved, share your talents, and let us know what we can do for you. Although resources are limited, we will listen to you and do whatever we can to provide you with the benefits and services you value. Your ideas are always welcome!

As for funding, your Alumni Association is not fully funded by the University or by any foundation. We will also rely on alumni contributions to fund the scholarships we give, begin publishing a biannual communiqué, the events we would like to hold, and the programs that we would like to offer. Please continue your support, no matter what size your gift, it is greatly appreciated! Please also consider placing your membership in the alumni association annually or for a lifetime!

Also, we will begin making use of Internet technology in keeping alumni and friends connected through broadcast emails. If you are interested in receiving our planned quarterly announcements through our e-newsletter please send your email address to maconley@utmb.edu. It's about staying connected!

Thank you for your continued support. I look forward to hearing from you soon.

Sincerely,
Michelle Conley
