Moody Medical Library - The Moody Medical Library of The University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston can trace its history to 1891, when the institution opened as the Medical Department of the University of Texas. Over the past century, the Library has grown from serving 23 students and 13 faculty to become one of the major academic medical libraries in the United States. Its holdings have expanded from the first gift of 500 books to the current 250,000 volumes.
Academic Resources - The facility offers study rooms, computer labs, e-mail access, Internet access, copy machines, and cassette duplication. In addition, the AR provides audiovisual and technical services, graphics services, photographic services, and video services to Faculty, Staff, and students of the two schools.
