Clinical Laboratory Science Management Skills

The students will be given the opportunity to: 1) analyze the external and internal health care issues that affect the practice of Clinical Laboratory Sciences; 2) integrate the regulatory agencies' regulations with the ethical management of the Clinical Laboratory; 3) given a management problem, formulate an appropriate protocol for dealing with the problem; 4) predict the fiscal elements in the health care system that will influence planning and productivity in a laboratory; 5) analyze the role of laboratory test management in the functioning and development of a Clinical Laboratory. (45 lecture hours per enrollment)
