Dr. Adrianna Laprea, PT, DPT, GCS, CEEAA is an Assistant Professor of Instruction and the Department Recruitment Committee Chair in the Department of Physical Therapy, School of Health Professions at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, TX. She received the Doctor of Physical Therapy degree in 2007 from Nova Southeastern University in Davie, FL. In 2011, she became a Certified Geriatric Specialist through the American Board of Physical Therapist Specialties. In 2015, she received the School of Health Professions' Junior Faculty Excellence Award. Her research interest includes rehabilitation outcomes impacting the adults and older adults. She has ten years of experience as a bilingual clinician in the outpatient neurological rehabilitation and skilled nursing facility.

Dr. Laprea has delivered courses on-line and on-site since August 2014. Her teaching responsibilities as a primary instructor include Neurotherapeutic Rehabilitation I-III and Professional Issues in the PTA to DPT Bridge program. Dr. Laprea also teaches medical Spanish for the Healthcare Professionals in all programs. Additionally, she is a secondary instructor, guest lecturer and grader in multiple courses.
