Taylor Riggs

Taylor Riggs, MPAS, PA-C, is an instructor in the Department of Physician Assistant Studies at the UTMB School of Health Professions. Raised in Amarillo, TX, she earned her Bachelor of Science degree from West Texas A&M University in Canyon, TX majoring in biology and minoring in Spanish. Mrs. Riggs graduated from the UTMB PA studies program in 2016, and immediately went into the field of family medicine as a full-time clinician at Coastal Health and Wellness, a part of Galveston County Health District. In her practice, her primary interests include preventative medicine, bringing quality healthcare to the underserved citizens of Galveston County, and managing chronic health conditions, such as hypertension, diabetes, and hyperlipidemia.

Mrs. Riggs is a fellow member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants (AAPA), Texas Gulf Coast PA Association (TGCPAA), and Texas Academy of Physician Assistants (TAPA). In the past, she has participated in organizations such as Hands and Feet Medical Missions, St. Vincent's Student Clinic, and Luke Society.

In her spare time, Mrs. Riggs enjoys running marathons, camping, cooking, and spending time with her husband and dog.
