About Me

Jenny English Blevins, PT, DPT, NCS is an Assistant Professor of Instruction in the Department of Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation Sciences (PTRS) at the University of Texas Medical Branch. She earned a B.A. in dance from Texas Women's University and Master of Physical Therapy from the University of Texas Medical Branch, followed by a doctorate in physical therapy from Texas Tech University. Additionally, in 2009 she achieved the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties certification in neurologic rehabilitation (NCS).

Dr. Blevins gained a wealth of knowledge treating complex neurologic patients at TIRR/Memorial Hermann; she also served in spasticity clinic, participated in stroke research, and became a certified brain injury specialist. Later, she directed a privately-owned physical therapy clinic and treated orthopedic and neurologic populations. For over a decade, Dr. Blevins was an adjunct professor at University of Houston-Clear Lake in addition to working full-time as a PT for a leading hospital system in the Houston Bay Area, serving in both inpatient and outpatient settings, while educating physical therapy students as a clinical instructor. She is passionate about mentorship in both the clinical and academic setting, for both patients and students.
