Johanna (Jo) Murton is a Research Development Specialist in the Office of Research for the UTMB School of Health Professions. In this role, she provides support for the day-to-day operations and strategic development of the Office of Research. Previously, she was a coordinator in the Department of Nutrition, Metabolism and Rehabilitation Sciences. Prior to working at UTMB, Jo worked in public education both in Galveston and in the United Kingdom (UK), where she was a teacher for 11 years. She grew up just south of London, and gained a bachelor’s degree in History and German and a master’s degree in English in the UK.
