David Vines, PhD, MHS, RRT, FAARC, FCCP, is the Senior Vice President and Dean of the School of Health Professions. He has more than 25 years of experience as a respiratory therapist. He has received numerous teaching awards and was recognized as the 2013 Illinois Society for Respiratory Care Practitioner of the Year.
Vines is internationally recognized as a leader and pioneer in respiratory care. He serves on the board of directors for the National Board for Respiratory Care. His areas of expertise include mechanical ventilation, cardiopulmonary monitoring, allocation of respiratory care and education.
