The UTMB Combined Master of Science Degree with Dietetic Internship (MS/DI) provides students with 1240 hours of supervised practice experience in clinical, community, extended care, research, and food service management. The program begins with 11 credits of coursework in the Fall when students matriculate. Thereafter, students will begin one internship rotation in their second semester (Spring) and complete their internship rotations full-time in the third and fourth semesters (Summer and Fall).

A sample program outline is shown below. All 5000 level courses are pass/fail internship rotations. All 6000 level courses are classroom-based and result in a letter grade. Students are assigned to one rotation in the Spring. Community (NUTR 5211) is shown in the example, but students may be assigned to 5411, 5211, 5320, or 5413, depending on their preferences, financial considerations, and availability of sites.
