Christopher Messenger, MS, RD, LD, CNSC is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Nutrition and Metabolism for the School of Health Professions at UTMB. Before joining the department, Mr. Messenger practiced acute care clinical dietetics for 12 years, three as a clinical nutrition manager. He has been board-certified as a nutrition support clinician since 2006. He received a double bachelor’s degree in Nutritional Science and Dietetics from Iowa State University in 2004 where he also completed his dietetic internship. He received a master’s in Preventive Medicine & Community Health, Sociomedical Sciences from UTMB in 2009.
