Research

Center for Recovery, Physical Activity & Nutrition (CeRPAN)

Several Nutrition and Metabolism faculty collaborate with the Center for Recovery, Physical Activity & Nutrition (CeRPAN).

CeRPAN is committed to creating relationships among basic and clinical scientists to translate and apply research findings for the benefit of persons with disability or chronic disease and their families.

Muscle Biology, along with aging and geriatrics, population-based health sciences, and patient-centered clinical/community outcomes, are four main areas of CeRPAN research. The Muscle Biology Lab focuses on research in muscle biology, exercise physiology, nutrition, sarcopenia, amino acid, and protein metabolism.
