Biomechanics, orthopedic assessment, diagnosis and treatment of musculoskeletal dysfunction, therapeutic interventions, manual therapy techniques, and exercise prescription

Lower extremity biomechanics, lower extremity trauma/fractures, sport performance and rehabilitation

Biography

Benjamin D. Brightwell, PT, DPT, OCS, CSCS, FAAOMPT, PhD(c) is an Assistant Professor of Instruction in the Department of Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation Sciences (PTRS) in the School of Health Professions (SHP) at the University of Texas Medical Branch (UTMB). Dr. Brightwell is also researcher for the UTMB Center for Health Promotion, Performance, and Rehabilitation Research (CHPPRR). He is a board-certified Orthopedic Specialist and Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopedic Manual Physical Therapists. He received his DPT from UTMB and is completing his PhD at The University of Kentucky.
