Biography

Tony Chao, PT, DPT, PhD, is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation Sciences (PTRS) in the School of Health Professions (SHP) at the University of Texas Medical Branch (UTMB). Dr. Chao received his Master of Science in Kinesiology, Clinical Exercise Physiology from Texas A&M and his Doctorate in Biomedical Science, Rehabilitation Science from the University of Texas Medical Branch.

Dr. Chao is a current member of the American Physiological Society and has extensive clinical research experience in traumatic injury. Dr. Chao is also part of the scientific staff at the Shriners Hospital for Children in Galveston.
