Biography
Elann Kuriakose, MSRS, RRT-ACCS, RRT-NPS is an Assistant Professor of Instruction in the Department of Respiratory Care in the School of Health Professions.
Ms. Kuriakose graduated with her Bachelors degree from Manipal University in 2012 and from Rush University (Chicago, IL) with a Master of Science degree in Respiratory Care in 2015. Post-graduation, she worked some time as a therapist in Boston
before relocating to become an Assistant Professor at Manipal University in India where she introduced competency-based education with a focus on critical care. She has worked as a bedside clinician since graduating with her Bachelor's degree
in 2012 from Manipal University. Upon return, she worked at Rush University Medical Center as respiratory therapist. During the Covid-19 pandemic, she worked as a travel RRT in Illinois and Texas. Ms. Kuriakose also worked as a Registered
Respiratory Therapist at Baylor Scott and White Hospital where she also serves as a clinical preceptor.
