Welcome to the UTMB School of Health Professions (SHP) in Galveston, TX!

For more than 50 years, SHP has dedicated its efforts to preparing the next generation of healthcare professionals who will provide world-class patient care and cutting-edge research. We offer dynamic, high-quality programs across a range of disciplines, including Clinical Laboratory Sciences, Nutrition Sciences and Health Behavior, Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, and Respiratory Therapy. These programs integrate rigorous academic coursework with hands-on clinical training, ensuring our graduates are well-prepared to excel in their chosen careers.

With a strong emphasis on interprofessional collaboration, research, and patient-centered care, our students develop the knowledge and skills necessary to meet the evolving challenges of the healthcare field.
