School of Health Professions Applications

This application page refers to students applying at the UTMB School of Health Professions (SHP).

We offer certifications, bachelor's, master's and doctoral health professions programs. In addition to classroom lectures, lab experiences, and clinical skills competencies, our programs offer clinical training opportunities in a variety of settings to ensure our students have exposure to a diversity of professional opportunities.

Each department within the School of Health Professions has its own accreditation and licensing board requirements. Although the State of Texas and the University of Texas Medical Branch are members of the National Council for State Authorization Reciprocity Agreements (NC-SARA), some accreditation and licensing board or state higher education commissions may impose additional restrictions for offering distance education courses within their state.   Applicants should visit the Allied Health Centralized Application Service and sign in or create an account. New applicants should create an online account. Returning applicants should login and complete the application.
• Doctorate of Clinical Nutrition
  Applicants must complete a UTMB School of Health Professions application.
• Health Professions
  Applicants must complete a UTMB School of Health Professions application.
• MS Dietetic Internship (MS/DI)
  • Application Opens: December annually and closes in February for the class entering the program in the Fall semester.
  • The UTMB MS/DI combined program participates in the Dietetic Internship Centralized Application System (DICAS) computer-based matching process through D&D Digital. Applicants must submit a completed DICAS and D&D Digital Computer Matching application.
  • Applicants must also complete a UTMB School of Health Professions application
• Entry-level Doctorate in Occupational Therapy
  Create an account and follow directions listed at the OTCAS website once it opens in mid-July. For more information, visit the OTCAS Applicant Help Center. Complete and submit your OTCAS application.
• Traditional Doctorate in Physical Therapy
  Complete and submit your PTCAS application.
• PTA to DPT Bridge Doctorate in Physical Therapy
  Complete and submit your PTCAS application.
• Entry-Level Master of Science in Respiratory Therapy
  Visit the Allied Health Centralized Application Service and sign in or create an account. New applicants should create an online account. Returning applicants should login and complete the application.
• Degree Advancement Master of Science in Respiratory Therapy
  Applicants must complete a UTMB School of Health Professions application.
